Yurii Kozar System administrator & IT infrastructure — 15+ years keeping business systems up.

I look after the machines your company runs on: servers, networks, cloud, endpoints, and the security around them. Most of my work is invisible by design — no outages, no lost data, no ransomware Monday. When something does break, I am the person who already knew about it.

Selected work

Things I have built

Infrastructure work is mostly invisible. These are the pieces with an edge you can point at.

In development

Slack hardware inventory bot

The problem

Device requests and handovers arrive as ordinary Slack messages — no forms, no fixed wording. The asset register drifts out of date within weeks, and nobody can say with confidence who is holding which laptop.

What I built

A Slack bot that reads those unstructured messages and turns them into structured device records. A language model does the parsing, so staff keep writing the way they always did while the inventory stays current underneath.

  • Slack API
  • LLM parsing
  • Claude
  • LM Studio
  • REST APIs
  • Hardware asset register

In production

Zabbix monitoring for servers and network devices

The problem

Nobody learned that a server or switch had dropped off the network until someone tried to use it and complained. There was also no dependable record of what hardware and software was actually deployed — that lived in spreadsheets that went stale the week they were written.

What I built

Zabbix monitoring across the server and network estate, with reachability alerts pushed straight into a messenger so an unreachable device raises an alarm the moment it happens rather than at the next complaint. The same deployment collects hardware and software inventory, so the record of what is running stays current on its own.

  • Zabbix
  • SNMP
  • Messenger alerting
  • Network devices
  • Server monitoring
  • Hardware & software inventory

04

Process

How an engagement runs

Four stages, in order. You always know which one we are in.

01

Assessment & planning

I audit what you already have — servers, cloud accounts, devices, licences, backups — and write down where the real risk sits. You get a plan with priorities and costs before anything changes.

02

Implementation

I configure and deploy the agreed changes, scheduling the disruptive parts outside working hours. Nothing goes live without a rollback path.

03

Monitoring & maintenance

Systems report to me, not the other way round. Alerts, patch cycles, and backup verification run continuously so problems surface before your staff notice them.

04

Support & scaling

Technology changes and so does your headcount. I stay on to troubleshoot, adjust capacity, and grow the infrastructure alongside the business.
